A dining room transformed into a kid’s playroom: Addspacetoyourlife.com
Situation:
A dining room that was transformed into a kid’s playroom. The challenge was too many toys. This created several issues which resulted in toys that were never put away.
1. There were toys that were no longer used and taking up precious storage space
2. With too many play options, the kids were bouncing back and forth between
activities with no real focus
3. Because new toys were constantly added without removing old toys, storage for
every item was impossible, there was simply not enough space for everything.
Solution:
1. We purged and donated toys that the kids no longer used.
2. Keeper toys were reduced in half with half stored in the playroom for easy access
and the other half stored in Rubbermaid tubs on shelving in the garage
3. When the children grew tired of certain toys, they were rotated out or donated and
replaced with a few of the ‘new’ toys from the garage tubs
4. We placed toy collections with multiple small parts up high and out of reach of the
toddler. He was able to play with these items only with supervision and when there
was time to oversee that he put them back into their designated containers. When
they were behind closed doors, he forgot about them anyway.
5. I repurposed the shelving unit on the right in the ‘before’ photo and moved it into
the hall closet where it fit perfectly without removing the shelf above and it became
a very useful haven for backpacks, purses, shoes and craft materials.
Whenever I come up with new tips or discover something out-of-this-world about
organizing, Image or lifestyle that I feel you should see, my newsletter subscribers

Fun in the Sun- KidKraft Review: Adirondack Chair in Natural
"The KidKraft Adirondack Chair has been a great addition to our outdoor area.
We love this great item from KidKraft"
We love this great item from KidKraft"
With the warmer weather here to stay we love enjoying the outdoors and our kids are no different. From the time they wake up until the day ends they want to be outside, whether they are playing or just relaxing they love the fresh air! So we love having some great toys and other functional items in the backyard for them to enjoy.
The hubs and I love sitting outside in the evenings and just enjoying each others company and our little one's love to sit and chat with us. That time is so precious and extremely valued! The only problem is our little one's, are still quite young, 5 and under, so they have a hard time climbing into the same style of chairs that the hubs and I use. So we were thrilled to receive a great Adirondack Chair from KidKraft.
This great chair is made of wood and has a weather resistant paint. When it arrived my hubs put it together for me and it only took him about 20 minutes to put together with 2 little ones assisting him.
The Kidkraft Adirondack Chair can be purchased in your choice of 3 different colors from Amazon.
My kids actually adore this chair, our littlest guy couldn't even wait until it was fully put together to climb in. The problem? We need another one! ha ha My boys are learning to take turns a little bit more because of this chair, it is their choice of seat whenever we are outside. Its just the right size and the slight lounge in the chair is so comfy for them.
The KidKraft Adirondack Chair has been a great addition to our outdoor area. We love this great item from KidKraft, its really well made and at a great price point. You & your kids will love it!

19 Reasons Why Embracingbeauty.com Recommends The Uptown Espresso Kitchen
When my husband and I decided to buy my little girl a kitchen for Christmas last year, I didn’t know it then but, I had my work cut out for me. There are dozens, probably hundreds of models to choose from. There are wooden ones, plastic ones, non-gender ones, girly ones, ones with grills attached, and ones with seating attached.
There are kitchens that transition with age. There are some that offer a lot of storage and some that have very little. Some come with electronic sounds and some have old fashion knobs that click when you turn them. The options were overwhelming!!! Don’t get me started on accessories. You know? The play food, plates, blenders, toasters, dish towels, aprons…Ahhh!!!
From the picture above you can tell that I did finally decide on a kitchen. It took weeks of researching and weighing the pros and cons. This was the only big present we got her for Christmas and we only gave a few small other gifts so we shelled out the money for a new, fancy pants, wooden, KidKraft kitchen. We love it! Absolutely love it!
Because I’ve posted pictures with my daughter playing with her kitchen on Instagram and on Facebook I’ve had probably a dozen or so people ask me where I got it. Requests keep coming in so today I decided to write a post and tell everyone about the kitchen we bought and why we love it. For disclosure, I was not paid by any company to write about this product but I have included my affiliate links in this post so I can maybe buy a coffee with the proceeds from people who buy through my link. It won’t cost anyone a penny more!
Now, here’s the kitchen I bought. It’s called the KidKraft Uptown Espresso Kitchen.
Why I like it:
- It’s wooden and built well so it will last. Plus, it’s heavy enough that it won’t fall over on her (but it does come with wall brackets just in case!).
- It doesn’t take batteries so there’s no need to replace them and no annoying noises.
- It’s non-gender so if we have a son later down the road he can play with it too (I know boys play with pink things all the time but I figure why plan for it when it can be avoided?).
- It’s attractive enough to have in our living room without looking like an eyesore.
- It’s not a primary color and it doesn’t have to have matching accessories to look nice (Things like that bother me. Maybe I’m the only one!).
- The sink was removable for cleaning. Nice bonus!
- It had a towel rack and pegs for hanging towels or utensils (What can I say? I like details!).
- It has a chalk board on the freezer and a water dispenser in the fridge.
- The fridge has a shelf inside so you can put two large baskets inside to hold food.
- The oven has a slide out cookie sheet that is removable (Two levels of storage inside!).
- The dishwasher’s shelf is removable too (Two levels of storage inside!).
- There is a detachable phone on the side of the fridge.
- There is a small amount of counter space for food prep.
- There is space behind the sink for accessory storage (We have a toaster and salt and pepper there).
- There is a shelf above the sink for extra storage.
- The sink head rotates and the handle moves up and down.
- The stove and range knobs click when you turn them but that’s all the noise this kitchen makes.
- The oven doors open to the left and the dishwasher to the right so you can play in both at once.
- My daughter (who was 18 months when we bought it) can play with the lower parts now and the upper areas when she gets older. This will be a toy she can play with for a long time.
To buy it:
If you’re interested in buying this KidKraft Uptown Espresso Kitchen you can buy it online atAmazon.com. I bought mine from Walmart.com but they’re currently sold out of this kitchen at the moment.

Raleigh Toddler Bed in Pink: Review by I Love My Kids Blog
"A bed your child will love!"
Being a first time parent is always very hard with all the changes that happen so quickly. My little girl is about to make transition from her crib to a toddler bed, I can’t believe it’s already around that time! When I started realizing that it was time to switch I instantly searched for some genuine and unique toddler beds. When I heard about KidKraft I knew they were the ones I needed to help me with the transitioning of my daughter!

Isn’t this bed absolutely gorgeous? Every time I see it I always think the same thing, “it’s so elegant looking.” I mean look at it, doesn’t it just have an elegance about it? I think so! This particular model is called, Raleigh Toddler Bed. It also comes in white and espresso. I had to get pink for my daughter. She loves pink. Well, I am not sure if she does love pink or not, but I am definitely forcing her to love it!
Once I came in contact with KidKraft I got this in the mail in about 5 days! I wasn’t expecting it to arrive that soon! I even forgot it was coming for a time, but it was very nice to get a little surprise at my door. I give major kudos to the company for such fast delivery for a large item!
This box was heavy! I can’t remember what the weight said but I think it was around 35-40ish pounds. I couldn’t wait to dig into this bed to put it together!
This is all the pieces it came with. It took us about 25 minutes to put the whole bed together. It was easy, and the instructions were word for word, and step by step.

Bonkers4Coupons.com - Mega Ramp Racing Set
KidKraft has the best motto “Live-Learn-Play”. Buy Online. That is certainly what they want for children when making these timeless treasure toys for our loved ones. Established in 1968, this world wide known company has produced many products for children of all ages. As they specialize in wooden toys and furniture, they are certainly a leader in my opinion of these fine collections.
Recently, I was given an honor to work with KidKraft and review their New Mega Ramp Racing Set for exchange of my views. You’ve might have seen or perhaps questioned the quality of these heirloom collections but rest assure they are built to last. They truly make their unique products to stand out from other known brands. What’s also great about these toys is how they look in the eyes of children. They are bright, fun and easy for your children to play with.
The Mega Ramp Racing Set is an awesome way to let your little one use their imagination. As they vroom their wooden cars up and down the ramps they will have a ball! I would say that any racing fan would give this set a two thumbs up.
The Mega Ramp Racing Set comes complete with everything that you need to start that race off right. There is a spiral three level ramp, a parking garage and a launching pad where your children can race two vehicles at once. Another super feature that this Mega Ramp Racing Set has is it’s very own start your race lights where your little ones can press and watch as the red, yellow and green light up. Read more...

Bubblegum Vintage Kitchen Review by Everything Mommyhood!
I recently had the chance to work with KidKraft and review their KidKraft Bubblegum Vintage Kitchen.
I was so excited to receive it and get it put together as I had been
wanting a girly kitchen for my 20 month old’s bedroom. When I was little
I always wanted a play kitchen, I never had one, but I always played
with one at my friends house.

When I received it in the mail I knew my
work was cut out for me, there was a TON of pieces to put together, but I
have to say I LOVE how each piece was wrapped, all the “chrome” pieces
were wrapped, etc. I’m always scared that something is going to be
scratched or damaged, but this product was packaged exceptionally well.
The instructions to put it together were very clear and all of the parts
were labeled well. It took me about 1.5 hours to put together without
any help from my husband. I can’t believe how great of quality this
kitchen is, and I really didn’t mind that it took a bit to put it
together. It’s very well made and I know it won’t be breaking or coming
apart. It’s made from sturdy wood, but be warned, this kitchen is HEAVY
(which is a good thing of course!).
My children (ages 20 months and 4.5
years) love their girly bubblegum kitchen. They both play with it every
single day and are always cooking up something for me or for each other.
The best thing about KidKraft products is that they encourage
imaginative play, which in this day and age, I think is SO important.
There’s so much technology out there, that most kids don’t use their
imaginations as much as they should!I love all the great detail on this
kitchen, it makes it so life like.

2-in-1 Activity Table Review by My Boys and Their Toys
Don’t get me wrong, I love living in Florida, but when the summer heats up it can be too much at times. While I am a big believer in outdoor play, sometimes we have to take a break and spend time indoors.
I was thrilled for the opportunity to connect with KidKraft because they create quality toys and furniture for children to encourage limitless creative play. Because I too believe in the importance of educational play, I knew this was a perfect collaboration!
We received the 2-in-1 Activity Table in Natural for review, which includes:
- a double-sided play board
- 30-piece train set
- 200 LEGO®-compatible blocks

Deluxe Garage Set Review by Frugality is Free
My boys love their cars, and with three boys it means we have a lot of cars everywhere. When my oldest son was little he had a plastic toy car garage, which constantly fell apart, so somehow we lost it in a move.
Ever since I have been looking for the right wooden toy car garage, a toy car garage which would bring joy instead of frustration, and when I discovered the KidKraft Deluxe Garage set, I knew I had found the perfect toy car garage for my kids.
The KidKraft Deluxe Garageset has to be assembled, so with the help of my oldest sons I attempted the mission. Assembling the toy car garage took time (2 hours), but it was a great project to do with the kids. Continued...
Madamedeals.com Reviews our Master Cook's Kitchen
The KidKraft Master Cook’s Kitchen has become a favorite addition to my preschool classroom. My 14 year old son offered to assemble the play kitchen for me. Knowing what a difficult challenge most kids toys are to put together I hesitantly allowed him to make the attempt.
Leaving him to his task I was certain he would struggle; after all kids toys are not known for easy assembly. Shortly after I left I received a text message with a picture attached of the neatly packaged nuts, bolts and screws. His message “that’s a lot of screws” made me giggle and even more confident that he would give up because it was in deed a lot of screws. Several hours later he invited me to the basement to see the completed project.
The Kidkraft Master Cook’s Kitchen is a beautiful piece of play furniture that is sturdy, well made and appealing to the eye. With coordinating pastel colors I believe it would blend in with most kids rooms or play rooms. The sturdy stove burners, sink faucets and door handles will ensure many years of fun play. Wall Storge Unit Review by Happening of The Harper Household
When it comes to purchasing furniture for my kids bedrooms and play areas I want pieces that are built to last. One company that I can always depend on is KidKraft. From the ease of assembly to the durability of their products I have never been disappointed.
In fact five years ago I purchased KidKraft See Thru Bins to store Alleigh’s toys in and it still looks just like the day I purchased it. Being used every single day for the past five years and moved all over our home I am very impressed with the quality of KidKraft. Since I have been so happy with multiple pieces of their furniture I knew that KidKraft was where I needed to look when searching for a storage piece for Willow’s nursery. When I saw the KidKraft Wall Storage Unit I knew it was perfect. Read more...
